Desperation..Desire..Expectation

Following Jesus-What does that mean to you?    Someone once asked me, “so if I give my life to the Lord does it mean I wake up in the morning changed? Does it mean the desires I have now, will be gone when I wake up?” My reply was no, but God could do that.  The change comes as you grow in the knowledge of God, your old desires don’t seem that important anymore. Your heart begins to change and you begin to want more of what He has instead of what the world has.                                                                                                                                                                                  Following Jesus takes on a whole new meaning, it fills you with compassion, hope and a desire to serve Him. It’s a desperate feeling, like the woman in Matthew 9 who said to herself, “if I only touch his cloak..

Desperation.. Desire.. Expectation

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”  22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.”  And the woman was healed at that moment. Matthew 9:20-22

If I only touch his cloak!
